We recommend using Durazno.

Custom Controller Button Layout for Halo 2 PC:

Place the Durazno xinput9_1_0.dll and Durazno.ini into Halo 2's install directory.

Note this re-maps your buttons on your controller, doing so will affect every aspect of the game, including the menus!

Bumper Jumper will switch:
- "Right Bumper" to "X"
- "Left Bumper" to "A"
- "X" to "B"
- "A" to "Left Bumper"
- "B" to "Right Bumper"

Recon will switch:
- "Right Bumper" to "X"
- "X" to "Right Bumper"

Note: the xinput9_1_0.dll included in this zip is modified for split screen use in Halo 2.
-This also means that the newest version of Durazno is incompatile with this dll.
-Please use the Durazno.exe in this zip to create your own remaps
-Durazno.exe requires xinput1_3.dll in order to remap buttons and create the ini file. Do not use this DLL in halo 2. Leave it in the folder.
-After creating your custom ini, copy it to your Halo 2 install folder

For split screen, copy Durazno.ini and rename it to Duraz02.ini for player 2, Duraz03.ini for player 3, etc.

In the Durazno inis you will notice there is a section for Controller0, Controller1, Controller2. What you want to do is disable every controller except for one, per instance that uses a controller.

Example for first instance using a controller (Controller0):
[Controller0]
...
Disable=0
...
[Controller1]
...
Disable=1
...
[Controller2]
...
Disable=1
...
[Controller3]
...
Disable=1
...

Example for second instance using a controller (Controller1):
[Controller0]
...
Disable=1
...
[Controller1]
...
Disable=0
...
[Controller2]
...
Disable=1
...
[Controller3]
...
Disable=1
...
